Barton House, a distinctive Dementia and Alzheimer’s Care Residence, is designed to promote independence, safety and comfort. People who are challenged with dementia related diseases have a very specific set of needs: space to move about freely, activity to help keep their minds alert and an intimate, non-institutionalized setting in which to live.
Located on 3.5 wooded acres in Nashville, Tennessee, Barton House is a large, single-story home with 20 private resident rooms surrounding a formal living room, an activity area, a dining room and an “open” kitchen.
We never forget that persons with Alzheimer’s are unique individuals first, with backgrounds, personalities and interests. We also realize that the progress of memory loss varies in everyone, so that a level of care which is exactly right for one person might infringe upon the independence of another. That’s why we tailor the care of each of our residents to his or her special needs.
